Defination of the word "Family"?

One of my cousin emailed me and asked me about my defination of the word "Family".

So vague right? Suddenly my mind went blank - there is so much to be said. Precisely why at times the simpler some things can be, the more complicated it actually gets.

I thought about it for a long time and I don't know how to give it a defination because the ideas and thoughts are all over!

Thinking and thinking... This is what I finally came up with...

"A family is a unity of people who comes together to shower one another with the utmost love, concern, encouragement and care unconditionally. You can throw your worst temper at your family, but they'll always forgive you, just because they love you - that's a family. When you sacrifice yourself for anything or to do anything willingly and you still feel love deep down inside - that's a family. A family will never put you down, they'll always encourage you until you could stand, and when you smile, they teared for joy - that's a family, a family build on true love, trust and understanding"
